The International Garden Photographer of the Year's special award for Blenheim Palace is now in its sixth year. The winners of the award have just been announced, with first place won by Barry Roberts.

Mark Hatt won second place, while Barry Roberts was also awarded third place in the competition.
His Grace the Duke of Marlborough chose the winning image and said: “I chose this photograph as it has captured the beauty of the colours shining on the leaves of the trees together with the ducks peacefully feeding in the darker end of the water.”
Barry will be presented with a prize at Blenheim Palace, and a selection of photos entered into the Blenheim Palace exhibition will be toured with the IGPOTY 17 exhibition when it arrived at Blenheim Palace from 10th July to 9th September.
The IGPOTY is now in its 18th Competition year and runs a number of localised Special Awards and tours to exhibition venues such as UNESCO World Heritage Sites – the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and Blenheim Palace.
The main IGPOTY competition normally opens in January-February (TBC) and closes on 31st October (12 Noon/GMT) each year.
